SPARTAN ACADEMY is largest International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF) affiliated organisation in North of England and registered group within The British Combat Association.
The Spartans Academy of Krav Maga UK teaches only the genuine system of Krav Maga that was developed by Imi Sde-Or (Lichtenfeld), which is continually developed and updated by the Global Instructors Team of the IKMF headed Avi Moyal .
Our Academy personnel are highly specialized and uniquely qualified in the Israeli defensive tactics, Law Enforcement and Civilian sector. Spartans Academy training is not only cutting edge, but the most concurrent with today’s standards of operations, strategies and tactics for both civilians and security professionals. We work under the umbrella of International Krav Maga Federation.
Our instructors have undertaken what is widely regarded as the most comprehensive and demanding instructors course in self defence and regularly attend training and updates with the expert Global Instructor Team from the IKMF to ensure we are teaching the most effective and up to date system. Founder of Spartans Academy – George Husar is one of the highest ranked and qualified IKMF instructors in UK.

GEORGE HUSAR
Born in Romania, George served 11 years as a sergeant in the Romanian Army. After leaving the Army in 2000, for 6 years he worked within the Private Security Industry carrying out similar duties and Close Protection.
George is an Expert Level Krav Maga instructor with the IKMF and registered Self-Protection Instructor with the British Combat Association.
He has been trained by the highest level experts from the International Krav Maga Federation in both Israel and Europe prior to successfully completing the instructor course. In 2009 during an intensive period under the guidance of Global Instructors Eyal Yanilov, Amnon Darsa , and Iftac, he attended and successfully completed the International Krav Maga Law Enforcement Instructors Course in Poland.
George now instructs Krav Maga in York, Sheffield, Hull and Newcastle. George Husar it’s the most qualified instructor in the North East of England and one of the highest qualified self defence instructors in the UK.
George is Licensed International Krav Maga Federation Instructor (IKMF) and is the Chief Instructor of the Spartans Academy he is responsible for the continual development of training standards.
We strongly recommend that you chose an IKMF qualified and licensed instructor who receives updated training a minimum of 3 times a year (most attend 6 times) and can offer the most up to date defensive tactics and techniques for your safety.
We only teach the original system of Krav Maga, as intended by Imi Lichtenfeld. Our instructors are extremely helpful and will answer any questions or resolve any concerns you have.
